SolarMarkers Installation Instructions for the MS - 100C and MS - 200 Series

The SolarMarkers MS - 100 and the MS - 200 Series accumulates energy and charges itself throughout the day. As soon as dusk begins to fall, the L.E.D.s start working automatically. The SolarMarkers are developed to ensure a higher degree of safety for cars and drivers at blind spots and dangerous hard-to-see areas on the road.

For optimal performance, the recommended distance between each SolarMarkers are as follows:

Install Site Distance
Highways and Expressways 7 - 8 yards (5 - 6 meters)
Dangerous Entrances and Exits 4 - 5 yards (2 - 3 meters)
Access or Exit ways for Hospitals, Parking Lots, etc. 0.5 - 3 yards (0.5 - 2 meters)

Step 1 - Mark the installation points (figure A). See chart above for recommended distances. Areas in tunnels, inside buildings, under bridges, or places where there is no sunlight are not suitable for installation.

Step 2 - Drill the holes using the following specifications (figure B):
Diameter: 1.5" (30-32mm) Depth: 2.6" (60-65mm)

Step 3 - Clean the drilled holes and remove all dirt, sand, dust and moisture. Make sure the hole is dry before applying any adhesive (figure C). Also prior to using adhesive, place the SolarMarker in the drilled hole and check for a tight and even fit as well as clearance for the desired alignment.

Step 4 - Fill up the drilled hole with hot melted glue or regular epoxy (figure A) and place the SolarMarker into the adhesive paste. Align accordingly (figure E).

Step 5 - Check and make sure that the glue is completely dry and settled before exposing the SolarMarkers to traffic and road activity. Check the manufacturers' recommendations for proper drying time for the adhesive.
